Phillipps Pairs |
The Phillipps Pairs was one of our most prestigious pairs competitions and had been running continuously for almost 70 years until it was stopped by Covid. It was announced in the July Newsletter that the competition had been revamped and would be relaunched in September. It will be a roving competition with heats being held at the following bridge Clubs around the County: Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Malvern, Stourbridge and Worcester. Charity Rubber Bridge |
The Charity Rubber Bridge was stopped because of Covid but is be relaunced this year. Paul Slater has agreed to organise it and we have decided to support the Worcester Buoys who are rowing the Atlantic to raise money for Acorns Children's Hospice. Healey Cup |
For the first time since Covid the Healey Cup is being held face-to-face this year on Sunday the 12th of November at Ombersley Memorial Hall. This is a fun, friendly day of bridge, with the opportunity to win the Healey Cup, and to enjoy some good food and company at the break if you want.
Teams of 4 are entered are made by any club in Worestershire or Herefordshire. Before Covid, Evesham used to put in a team or 2. Does anyone fancy plaing for Evesham in this event?
